Laura Luckett has been a part of the Colorado Springs community since 1984 and has been a registered midwife since 2002.
She graduated from Colorado College in 1984 with a degree in Anthropology. Following that she lived in Venezuela where 2 of her 4 children were born. There she experienced amazing births with a Swiss obstetrician, Eva Gundberg, who had trained with Dr. Michel Odent, a pioneer in natural, peaceful childbirth.
Upon her return to Colorado Springs, she opted to birth her last child at home; an event so profound and life-changing that she felt compelled to pursue the path of midwifery and began attending births in 1997 with legendary local midwife, Jeanie Rosburg.
Her compassion, experience and professionalism have helped create a long list of deeply appreciative families whose joyful and transformative birth experiences have been memorable and positively life changing.
